WRITING

Screenwriting is my greatest literary love.

I write about the big questions. Who are we? Where do we come from? What are we becoming? These have been the through-lines since the beginning – and they're still the ones that pull me forward.

My writing lives at the intersection of the mythic and the intimately human. Spirituality, identity, memory, belonging, evolution – not as abstract themes, but as lived experience rendered on screen.

Before film, I wrote for Gaia – developing, writing, and producing twelve original series, including Divine Science, the network's most successful to date. Before that, essays and journalism for Natural Awakenings and Elephant Journal. Before that, theatre.

The form has evolved. The obsession hasn't.

“Sometimes the only way forward is back”

When a woman – reeling from the death of her mother and an unexpected pregnancy – returns to her ancestral homeland of Bolivia, she’s pulled into an ancient shamanic form of time travel that fractures her identity across centuries. To survive, she must heal the inherited trauma of her bloodline or be swallowed by the very legacy she’s been trying to outrun.

ECHO is an independent feature exploring ancestral memory, intergenerational healing, and belonging through the mythic lens of Andean shamanism and Inca–Conquistador history.

We have opened our $7M production financing round.

My debut narrative feature screenplay, Becoming the One, has won multiple accolades, including at the Austin Film Festival, Scriptapalooza, Launch Pad Feature Competition and Screencraft Feature Competition.

Becoming the One is a powerful and engaging, at-times-hilarious, at-times-profound, coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama with magical realist elements. Set in London and the Indian Himalayas, it explores the ancient push and pull between our deepest fears and our greatest desires. It’s a love story. It’s about the love between two people. It’s about the love that most of us withhold from ourselves. It’s about the ecstasy and heartbreak of being human, of being alive, and the confusing relationship between ourselves, others, and the cosmos.

Becoming the One has a fresh and fiercely independent (female minority) voice and perspective that celebrates the rich, diverse tapestry of life, while dipping its toes into nondual Eastern philosophy, all the while maintaining grit, relatability, humour and a fearless delight in poking fun at oneself and every theory that tries to give meaning to the crazy, ineffable, equally transcendental-and-painstakingly-mundane rollercoaster ride of being human.
