ABOUT

Stories have always shaped how humanity understands itself – who we are, where we come from, what we're capable of becoming.

I'm drawn to the ones that stay with you. That open something. That move through the emotional and mythic layers of life and leave you changed.

That's the space my work lives in. As an actress, writer, and producer, I make films that explore identity, memory, belonging, meaning, and cultural history – cinema that engages not just the mind, but the soul.

Beauty, mystery, and meaning are the through-lines. Cinema, to me, remains one of the most powerful tools we have for expanding perspective and deepening our sense of connection to one another.

STORY

I've been creating since I was a child. Growing up in Amsterdam, I was already writing, directing, and performing my own productions – often in English, my third language.

At seventeen, I received First Prize in the National Youth Theatre Contest of Amsterdam for a philosophical piece I wrote, directed, and performed. At eighteen, I moved to London.

I trained at RADA, the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, the National Youth Film Academy, and Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, where I completed my BA (Hons) in Acting on a full scholarship.

During those years I wrote, produced, and acted in original short films and devised nine theatre productions that toured London and the Edinburgh Fringe. It was a period of deep experimentation – and something else, too. A shift in how I understood what stories are actually for.

That shift changed everything. It redirected my creative life toward the philosophical and spiritual dimensions of storytelling, and it's never left.

Back in New York, I founded the Conscious Performers Collective – a nonprofit developing original productions and transformative workshops at the intersection of self-realization practice and creative expression.

I wrote my first feature screenplay, Becoming the One, during that time. It received recognition from the Austin Film Festival, Scriptapalooza, Launch Pad, and Screencraft.

I then joined Gaia as Associate Producer of Original Content, where over three and a half years I produced twelve original series – including Divine Science, the most successful series in the network's history.

Today I run Lila Studios, producing narrative and documentary films that explore the deeper dimensions of the human experience. My debut feature ECHO is in development. Rise of the Visionary is in preproduction. Timeless is in production.
